Automated synchronization capabilities provide instant, convenient access to plans and documents in the field without requiring administrative intervention.

January 27th, 2022 – Oakland, CA.

DADO, construction’s leading document management and forms software platform, today announced the integration of DADO Sync with Autodesk Construction Cloud™, a portfolio of software and services that combines advanced technology, a builders network, and predictive insights for construction teams.

The integration enables contractors to directly connect documents in Autodesk Construction Cloud to DADO. After the integration is set up, construction documents and drawings in Autodesk® Build, Autodesk Docs, and BIM 360® Docs can automatically and continuously sync with DADO, without any additional administrative or technical work.

DADO Sync for Autodesk Construction Cloud gives contractors complete control over what they sync to DADO, allowing them to select which folders or documents they want to share. Once selected, documents and drawings in the selected folders are indexed by DADO’s best-in-class Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and organized for use with industry-specific search and collaboration tools. Custom notifications can alert users when new documents are synced into DADO, either generally or based on key terms such as an equipment tag or drawing reference.

Contractors working on projects with documents in Autodesk Construction Cloud can now easily sync all these documents into DADO, along with documents from their other document storage providers. Once in DADO, users can take advantage of DADO’s powerful search, indexing, and collaboration tools to work with their documents outside of Autodesk Construction Cloud. For example, subcontractors working on a project where the general contractor houses documents like project drawings and project specification books in Autodesk Construction Cloud can now sync these files to their DADO projects and be notified when changes occur. The project-level files are searchable, and automatically hyper-linked together with their own subcontractor-specific documents, such as shop drawings and work orders, for an easy-to-navigate experience.

“It has always been our mission to put all relevant information at contractors’ fingertips by organizing and adding intelligence to unstructured data from multiple platforms, without creating additional administrative work,” said Jake Olsen, co-founder and CEO of DADO. “Autodesk Construction Cloud is a critical platform for many of our customers’ construction projects, and we’re thrilled to add this important integration to DADO.”

“In today’s digitized construction industry, teams store their important project documents in the cloud and all stakeholders must be able to easily access and collaborate on the information they need, when they need it,” said James Cook, head of integrations at Autodesk Construction Solutions. “Connecting DADO’s tools with Autodesk’s document management workflows helps customers’ achieve even better collaboration across their building teams and increased efficiency on projects.”
